Some customer relationships become part of a company’s story. Mornflake is one of FW Power’s longest-standing customers, with a relationship that dates back to the business’s founding under its previous management. We are proud to continue that connection and to share a look behind the scenes at the engine-driven equipment supporting this established food manufacturer.

A Cheshire manufacturer with a remarkable history
Mornflake’s family milling heritage in Cheshire reaches back to 1675. Today, the Crewe-based business is known for its oats and breakfast cereals, connecting generations of milling experience with modern food manufacturing. Its company history tells the story of that journey.
For FW Power, supporting a customer with such deep local roots carries particular meaning. From our base near Tarporley in Cheshire, we work with businesses that depend on practical engineering support and equipment they can rely on. Our relationship with Mornflake reflects the value of staying connected to customers over the long term.
Inside Mornflake’s diesel fire-pump installation
The photographs from this visit show two diesel-driven fire-pump assemblies within the pump house. Clarke-branded engines, starting batteries, fuel tanks, exhaust pipework and dedicated control equipment can be seen throughout the installation.
A closer view shows an Armstrong-labelled diesel engine fire pump control cabinet and its ViZi Touch display. Together, these images offer a clear view of the engine equipment and the surrounding installation, from the individual components to the wider plant-room layout.
This is an example of the variety of engine applications our team encounters beyond the generator enclosure.

Engine expertise beyond diesel generators
FW Power is widely associated with new diesel generators, used diesel generators and business backup power. Our interest in engines also extends to the machinery they drive, including pump applications such as those pictured here.
Understanding an engine means looking at it within its working environment. Access, the surrounding pipework, the starting system and the control equipment all form part of that picture. The Mornflake photographs show why an on-site view is valuable when discussing support for existing industrial equipment.
For customers with generators as well as other engine-driven plant, it helps to have a conversation with a team that understands the application. Tell us what equipment you operate and what support you need, and we can discuss the scope with you.
A lasting relationship, built on continued support
Mornflake’s connection with FW Power stretches back to the company’s earliest days. Continuing that relationship is something we value, and this visit is a welcome opportunity to recognise the people and businesses behind it.
We are proud to play a small part in Mornflake’s story. Our commitment is to remain approachable, understand our customers’ equipment and provide practical support as their requirements develop.
