Comparing ratings? FB60-4A has a published prime output of 58.5 kVA. Model names, prime ratings and standby ratings are not interchangeable.
All eight models are listed at 50 Hz and 1,500 rpm, with electronic governing and Leroy Somer alternators. See each model page for its stated output voltage and alternator model. Compare the engine and standard equipment before discussing your final configuration.

Fuel tank capacity is not a running-time guarantee. Breaker ratings are equipment data, not a substitute for cable sizing, protection coordination or the final electrical design. See the approved model PDFs for dimensions, weight, fuel consumption and the stated noise measurement conditions. FB180-4A documentation is awaiting confirmation.
A well-selected generator has to start the load, hold acceptable voltage and frequency, and suit the way the site operates. FW Power can review multiple options with you before a specification is agreed.
List the equipment that must run together, its kW or kVA, power factor and starting method. Motors, compressors, lifts and pumps can create demanding starting conditions. UPS equipment and variable-speed drives also need attention to their electrical characteristics.
Explain whether power is needed during mains failures or for regular operation, along with the load profile and expected hours. The ratings on this page are prime ratings. Any required standby output and operating limits must be confirmed for the selected set.
Account for ambient temperature, altitude, ventilation, exhaust routing and maintenance access. Check fuel storage, delivery access, earthing, protection and load steps. Allow for realistic future expansion without selecting a set solely on spare capacity.
kVA and kW: kW = kVA × power factor. A 100 kVA load at 0.8 power factor represents 80 kW. This is a load calculation, not a substitute for confirming the generator’s rated kW and transient performance.
The FB range is specified by FG Wilson to CPCB IV+. The manufacturer describes factory-installed exhaust after-treatment for this range, with attention to particulate matter and nitrogen oxides.
CPCB IV+ is a distinct emissions standard. It does not establish UK or EU Stage V approval. The required documentation depends on where the generator is supplied and how it is used. Our team will review your destination and application before recommending a configuration.
Discuss expected loading, operating cycles, fuel quality and the manufacturer’s after-treatment maintenance requirements. Those operating details matter as much as the headline emissions label.
From commercial premises and workshops to agricultural loads and export projects, the starting point is a clear requirement. We can discuss an FG Wilson generator as part of a wider power solution and assess alternatives where the duty or compliance needs differ.
Tell us about acoustic limits and the nearest noise-sensitive locations. An acoustic enclosure alone is not a site-specific sound guarantee; assess the agreed dB figure, measurement distance, load condition and installation before committing to a layout.
This FB range comprises eight CPCB IV+ models: FB40-4A, FB60-4A, FB82.5-4A, FB100-4A, FB125-4A, FB160-4A, FB180-4A and FB250-4A. Published 50 Hz prime outputs run from 40 to 250 kVA. Ask our team about other FG Wilson capacities and configurations.
The manufacturer lists the FB60-4A at 58.5 kVA prime at 50 Hz. We use that published output in the comparison and on its specification page. Always select equipment from the stated duty rating and final datasheet, rather than the model name alone.
The engine models specified for this FB range are Leyland H4, H6 and A6 variants. Every model page identifies the engine code alongside its displacement, helping you compare the equipment and discuss servicing requirements.
No. CPCB IV+ and EU Stage V are separate emissions frameworks. A CPCB IV+ specification does not establish Stage V approval. Tell FW Power where the generator will operate and whether it will be stationary or mobile so the required certification and suitability can be checked.
Yes. We can discuss generator supply alongside ATS or MTS selection and the installation scope. Transfer equipment must be matched to the site current, supply arrangement, protection and generator-start interface. Sensitive loads may need a UPS because an ordinary ATS changeover is not uninterrupted.
Download the approved PDF from the Datasheet section on each model page. The FB180-4A document is awaiting specification confirmation; contact our team for its latest technical information. Confirm the final supplied configuration with your quotation.
Request a project quotation from FW Power. Price and lead time depend on the model, control and enclosure specification, accessories, delivery and installation scope. Share your load details, location and required date so our team can prepare a relevant proposal.
Tell us what you need to power, where it will operate and when you need it. Our team can discuss generator selection, changeover equipment, delivery, installation and ongoing service.
Tell us what you need to power. We’ll help you find the right solution.
